Mechanically perforating the soil and pulling up small plugs reduces compaction. This will allow air, water and nutrients to reach the grass roots more easily to encourage deeper growth and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn. Overseeding the existing lawn is done at the rate of 4 lbs. per 1,000 sf. and starter fertilizer is added. This service is done during the fall seeding season from late August to mid October.

In order to better care for your plants we recommend a thorough soaking once or twice a week for 3-4 hours using a soaker hose or a tree regulator bag. If you prefer sprinklers, we recommend using it once or twice a week for about 1.5-2 hours. To decrease the chance of disease spread, we advise to water your plants in the early morning so that it will have time to soak into the soil and will allow the mid-day sun to burn off excess moisture on leaves so that your plants don't stay wet all night.
It is essential for new plants to develop a healthy root system. Your new plants should only be given a root stimulating fertilizer, such as a bone meal. Do not use an all purpose fertilizer the first year. Ask us if your tree/shrub is acid loving or not as this determines the type of fertilizer that will be appropriate for use!
Keep an eye out for holes or brown leaves or needles. This could be a sign of insects or disease causing fungus problems. If you think your plant is having an issue, reach out to us ASAP in order to help resolve the problem.
This chemical is used once a year. We apply calcium and magnesium rich materials in various forms including marl, chalk, limestone, or hydrated lime. These materials react as a base and neutralize soil acidity in acid soils.
We use a balanced, slow-release granular fertilizer to meet the needs of your turf grass. We apply throughout the season to ensure a healthy and good looking lawn.
Within two appointments in April and June, we use pre-emergent herbicides which target germinating seeds before new shoots can emerge from soil. Pre-emergents work by inhibiting seed germination and root development so that seeds can‘t become established plants.
This service is specifically targeted to stop weeds, especially noxious weeds, from competing with desired flora and fauna included domesticated plants and livestock, and in natural settings preventing non native species competing with native species. We complete this in two appointments in April and September.
